Tubesday - Two Dollar Man & Left Handed Kisses

We have a pair of new videos for you this #Tubesday. First up is "Two Dollar Man" from Mason Jennings. This Minneapolis-based folkie is set to release his 12th full-length studio album, Wild Dark Metal, on March 18.

'Two Dollar Man" grabs you, throws you down, and has its way with you musically. The opening guitar riff and percussive drums sound like an early Arcade Fire demo as produced by Josh Homme and Dave Grohl. If Jennings' last album, Always Been, was a lament over a relationship gone south, Wild Dark Metal might be, in the words of OKCupid, the rampant sex spree that accompanies it.

Next up with "Left Handed Kisses" from Andrew Bird, featuring the incomparable Fiona Apple. These two iconoclasts spar in the video, recalling the musical and personal breakdowns of Richard and Linda Thompson or Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, trading barbs lyrically and dueling musically.

This is the third single from Bird's forthcoming album, Are You Serious, due April 1 on Loma Vista. Bird's April 5 show at the 9:30 Club is already sold out, but you know where to score tix if you're so inclined.
