Mark your calendars for the 14th Annual Future of Music Policy Summit - October 27-28, 2014

Our friends at the Future of Music Coalition have announced the date and location of this year's Music Policy Summit. The summit will be held at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University on October 27th and 28th.
The Policy Summit covers the issues at the nexus of music, technology, policy and the law, helping music creators navigate the often confusing legal, financial, and regulatory environments of the music business. Net neutrality, music piracy, and embracing the alternative business models of online music were topics at the summit before they were news. Early bird tickets are available now, and as always the FoMC offers special pricing for students and scholarship opportunities for musicians.

Past luminaries at the summit have included David Byrne, tUnE-yArDs' Merrill Garbus, OK Go's Damian Kulash, Wayne Kramer of MC5, and REM's Mike Mills among many others. Executives from Spotify and Pandora have also been on hand to deliver their perspectives on monetization in the music industry.

This is the go-to industry event if you want to understand how music creators, curators, fans, lawmakers, regulators, and the music industry interact. Don't miss it.
