As reported in a Washington Area Music Association (WAMA) Mini-News email earlier today and in this post to The Washington Post's Entertainment Blog, jazz vocalist Pam Bricker took her own life this past Sunday. Known for her performances at D.C. venues such as U-topia, as well as for her vocal work with Thievery Corporation, Bricker had been performing in the Metro region since the early '80s. In 1989, Bricker appeared on the main stage at the Monterey Jazz Festival. To learn more about Bricker's career, click here to view the biography section of her website.
