Wednesday Is For Lovers - Lyric Video Version

Today we have a pair of lyric videos for #WednesdayIsForLovers. First up is "Frozen" from Surfer Blood, the indie quartet from West Palm Beach. The band released Snowdonia, their fourth studio album, in February. This is their first album in 2 years, and their first since longtime bassist Kevin Williams left the band and founding guitarist Thomas Fekete passed away from a rare form of cancer. This song isn't as kinetic as the first single of theirs, "Swim", that I heard, but it's another slice of smart, taut slice of melodic indie pop. You can catch them Friday night at DC9, if you can score a ticket.

Next up is "Hit That Drum", the new single and video from Brooklyn folksters Woods. It's a lush, sonorous song that teeters between hope and despair. Woods will be touring in support of their new album, Love Is Love (out this Friday), and will grace the stage at Rock & Roll Hotel on July 13.
