Wednesday Is For Lovers - Guest Vocalist Edition

We have a stunning pair of videos featuring guests vocals that premiered today for our #WIFL feature. First up is "Dark Days" from Silver Lake indie outfit Local Natives. This video does double duty as a "making of" travelogue for their 2016 release Sunlit Youth. The song features Nina Persson of The Cardigans trading verses about forbidden love and fear of the afterlife, the video drenched in the same gauzy California sun that you swear you can hear in the group's densely layered vocals. You can catch Local Natives at Rams Head Live! on March 19.

Next up we have "I Will Smile When I Think of You" by Minneapolis singer-songwriter J.E. Sunde. The artist is joined on the song by Monica Martin of PHOX and The Bad Marriage. The spare a cappella rendition of the song is paired with a video every bit as arresting, a series of images of Iowa buildings with not a person in sight. Sunde's latest album, Now I Feel Adored, came out on March 3 on Cartouche Records.
