Philly by way of Northern Virginia rockers Suburban Living are preparing to tour in support of their self-titled debut album. The 8-song, 27-minute Suburban Living is a dreamy, airy homage to hazy 80s synth-pop and early shoegaze. It's the kind of album best enjoyed behind the wheel with the windows down, the heat mirage radiating off the blacktop in the distance. If you dig YACHT or the recent easy-listening stylings of Destroyer, this might be the band for you.
Suburban Living will be playing a handful of tour dates in June, with shows on the 6th at DC9 and on the 7th at Shaka's Live in Virginia Beach. Both of those dates will be in support of fellow Philly rockers CRUISR. Break out your beachwear and your neon wayfarer sunglasses to check out the songs of summer.
Check out the track "Give Up" by Suburban Living, recorded live for The Key at WXPN.
