The Funk Ark 'Man Is a Monster' Record Release tomorrow at The Black Cat

Can't get enough Afrobeat? Dig your funk with a little Latin flair? Enjoy listening to the kind of jazz that makes you break out your dancing shoes? Check out The Funk Ark tomorrow night at The Black Cat as they preview their forthcoming album, Man Is a Monster, out October 14 on RopeADope Records.

The Funk Ark collective is the brainchild of jazz pianist Will Rast (Antibalas, Thievery Corporation). Joining them will be local gypsy-world-alternative band Black Masala, another group whose sound is as hard to wrestle into words as a greased pig. Doors are at 9pm, and tickets are $12.
