Strathmore, home to the new 2,000 seat, state-of-the-art Music Center at Strathmore--scheduled to open to the public in February--has launched a redesigned website that features several pictures of the new facility. Strathmore is located just outside the Beltway on Rockville Pike in North Bethesda, next to the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro stop on the Red Line. A new glass-enclosed skybridge joins the Music Center with the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro garage.
One of the first events scheduled at the new Music Center at Strathmore is the 19th Annual Wammies Awards on Monday, February 7. More information on the awards is available here, in a previous ArlingtonMusicScene.com news item.
UPDATE: According to the WAMA website, 18th Street Lounge Music has joined on as a sponsor for the Wammies and the Pat McGee Band will now be performing at the awards, along with many others. Click here for more information.
